Core Areas

The Consortium offers five core areas of research support and consulting with the aim of improving overall research project quality, supporting the professional growth of the Consortium’s researchers, and increasing the impact of their research on decision-making in the health sector.

We have a specialized team for each core area that offers the necessary support and consulting depending on the needs of each unique project.

Type of services:

  • Fieldwork:
    • Survey design.
    • Statistical sampling.
    • Data collection, through interview techniques using computational tools (ACASI, CAPI, CASI).
    • Data collection and analysis, data capture processes, design, documentation, and storage of databases.
  • Quantitative analysis:
    • Study design and analysis strategy.
    • Data analysis (econometrics and epidemiology).
    • Advice on mathematical modeling techniques, simulation, meta-analysis, impact evaluation, and economic evaluation.
    • Visualization and interpretation of data for decision making.

Scientific writing

Objective:

  • Provide proofreading services that help your sentences and vocabulary sound natural in English. This includes correcting grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as improving flow, sentence structure, and tone of writing. Our team works primarily on articles intended for publication in academic journals, but will also provide editing support for research proposals, presentations, and other documents for the dissemination of research results.

Type of services:

  • Basic editing service: includes editing of grammar, spelling, terminology, and writing of documents in English to increase the probability of acceptance of a manuscript.
  • Advanced Editing Service: provides extensive editing that goes beyond grammar and spelling edits, to improve awkward sentences, flow, and paragraph structure. We will also provide a detailed summary of the English language editing done in your document, highlighting the most common mistakes in English language translation.

    • adapt health strategies to other contexts or different key groups.
  • To assist with the application of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques.

Type of services:

  • Practical and methodological support to research projects to:
    • estimate knowledge, acceptability and availability to use health services.
    • estimate the success, impact, or effectiveness of an intervention.
  • Development of the study design and instruments to capture quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Assistance to implement and monitor interventions.
  • Carrying out the data analysis as well as the interpretation of the results.
